First Stop St. George, Utah

We left home early Wednesday August 23, 2023 which turned out to be the first leg of our 3800+ mile trip. Our old friend from Salt Lake welcomed us warmly. Graciously gave us food and lodging and showed us around St George a bit.

Beautiful day in St. George, and a wonderful time to escape the 110 degree heat in Phoenix Valley. Nancy took us up to St. George’s new Tuacahn Center for the Arts. Very unique. An open air amphitheater in the red cliffs just outside the center of town. They have ongoing presentation from Hunchback of Notre Dame to Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, Les Miserables, and many more.

Nancy took Connie to a wonderful farmer’s market, and we visited Nancy and Pastor John Manweiler at their incredible new home with an attached RV garage, and a huge living area with 12′ ceilings. They fed us too!
